Our CO2 transmitters are ideal for the demanding monitoring of indoor air. The instruments simultaneously measure temperature and air humidity and are typically installed in climate zones or ventilation ducts for ventilation control in order to continuously monitor indoor air quality.

CO2 Air Quality Measurement and Monitoring

CO2 is a key environmental indicator of air quality. A high concentration affects an individual’s comfort, concentration and performance.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless and odorless gas that is deadly in high concentrations, it can only be detected with a measuring instrument. The proportion of CO2 in outside ambient air is typically 0.04% or 400 ppm (the level has increased dramatically in recent years). When people (and animals) exhale this gas, it is quickly mixed with air and in groups in confined spaces conditions quickly deteriorates leading to fatigue and loss of personal performance.

We manufacture a handheld; small display/logger; large display with visual alerts for air quality monitoring (useful in classrooms and conference areas), and sensors that can easily be integrated with the Rotronic Monitoring System (RMS) with all data and alarms available anywhere, on any device. Monitoring sensors can be interfaced with a building monitoring system ensuring adequate ventilation is available only when required saving both energy and costs.

Differential Pressure - Monitoring and Control

Even small differences in room pressure compared with areas outside results in dust and particles being kept out of cleanrooms in manufacturing and pharmaceutical facilities, containment areas as well as hospital operating theaters. Elsewhere, toilet areas and storage facilities with room pressure maintained slightly higher ensures odors are not circulated outside. Our differential sensors can be relied upon to monitor and control the small pressure differences required.

We use two different sensor technologies for measuring differential pressure:

  • The thermal mass flow principle, where two temperature sensors are used
  • The membrane-sensor strain-gauge principle, where a membrane is expanded by applied pressure

  • To provide customers with the greatest possible flexibility we offer high precision differential pressure measurement transmitters and monitoring displays using both technologies.
