Overview

The Miniature Zirconium Dioxide Oxygen Sensor also comes pre-soldered to a PCB along with a heat isolating PTFE spacer. The PCB allows ease of mounting and cable connection for ambient sensing applications. The spacer isolates the heat generated by the sensor from the board as well as providing height to allow the sensor to be sealed with an o ’ring against a manifold for flow through applications (see example in datasheet).

PST’s range of Miniature Zirconia Oxygen Sensors use a unique closed-loop measurement system. While the sensor continuously measures the oxygen level, a heartbeat signal is also generated providing immediate status of the sensor.

Their long operating life is due to the non-depleting sensor cell technology. No reference gas is required and easy single point calibration can be performed in any known gas including fresh air.

The Miniature oxygen sensor is just 12mm in diameter making it suitable for applications where space is limited. The sensor offers an option of two response times and a temperature range of -100 to 250⁰C. The oxygen sensor offers a linear output signal, a lifetime of up to 10 years (depending on the application), and covers an oxygen range from 0.1 to 100% O₂.
