Dynament provide miniature infrared (IR) gas sensors to OEM manufacturers. The sensors include low-power versions for use in portable instruments and they are suitable for use in a range of toxic and combustible gases
Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) is corrosive, poisonous, flammable and may be found in natural gas streams – the term for natural gas with high levels of H2S is ‘sour gas’. When combined with moisture, oxygen and carbon dioxide (CO2), H2S will form corrosive acid compounds which attack and weaken natural gas transmission lines. It poses a serious threat to both people and equipment and its detection is essential.
