In the heart of Switzerland, a global company at the forefront of advancing aseptic production technologies has been working closely with PST and now relies on PST's HC100 humidity generator to maintain optimal conditions for its products worldwide.
The company specializes in designing cutting-edge isolators and cleanroom devices crucial for the biopharmaceutical industry. Its innovative approach extends to the development of state-of-the-art decontamination processes that ensure the highest efficiency and sterile standards to produce life-saving biopharmaceutical substances.
A team of 40-50 service professionals, travelling the globe to its customers, have faced unique challenges when calibrating humidity probes, including the specialized Rotronic HC2A-S-HH models, designed for hydrogen peroxide environments in clean room applications. Limited space during air travel and the need for efficient calibration services have driven the necessity for innovative on-site calibration solution.
In response, a rigorous process was implemented as standard. It involved 3-4 humidity calibration points per probe, each requiring 1.5 hours for cleaning, stabilization, and measurement. Still, occasional defects or inaccuracies were encountered, and significant time investment required. This led to unnecessary time and cost overheads associated with faulty humidity probes.
Leveraging the synergies from PST Brands Michell Instruments and Rotronic AG, the companies collaborated to develop a bespoke OEM product. This innovative The solution integrates the Rotronic HC2A-S sensor as the reference probe for the Rotronic HC100 humidity calibrator. HC2A-S is renowned for its exceptional accuracy and is compliant with the ISO 17025 calibration standard.
The sensor's outstanding accuracy and the possibility of the ISO 17025 calibration are critical to ensuring the validity of HC100 measurements. Extensive testing and validation underscored the HC100's reliability.
The outcome was a further investment in multiple HC100 units for service personnel, facilitating seamless global deployment. Also, annual calibration services ensure ongoing accuracy, leveraging the HC2A-S with SCS calibration for compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
This great success has prompted the upcoming HC100A, an enhancement that incorporates HC2A-S as the standard reference sensor with several additional improvements and Rotronic design. Customers will benefit from the highest possible precision as well as exceptional accuracy and optional SCS calibration in compliance with the ISO 17025 standard.
